Arindam Thokder is a Bangalore based independent photographer with a keen sense for contrast and color. His main interests are documenting social issues and conflicts, charitable aid, travel, and cultures of various parts of India. He is part of international photography collective “Vivo”. His personal projects have been exhibited in various Photo Festivals in India and Outside such as “Indian Photography Festival” – Hyderabad, “Street Parade” – Paris, Angkor Photo Festival, “A million mutinies later | India at 70” – Cardiff, “Odesa-Batumi Photo Days” Festival – Georgia to name a few. His photo stories have been published in various online and print publications including Caravan, Scroll, Mint (Hindustan Times), Better Photography etc. In 2017, Arindam received SIXTH edition of Neel Dongre Awards for Excellence in Photography grant organized by India Photo Archive Foundation. He also received the First Edition of Sahapedia Grant for his work “Larger Than Life” where he documented the Hand Painted Movie Posters and Banners.
